We have been reading the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The children have been putting themselves in Edmund's shoes and deciding what they would do if they were in his situation.

The children made a conscience alley, so on one side were the angels, giving good advice to Edmund and on the other side were the devils, giving bad advice to Edmund. Everyone had fun taking part in this activity!

TT Rockstars

The children have been working hard on their times tables this week, spending time battling with each other.

It paid off as Year 5 have won the battle this week! Well done everyone for your hard work, keep it up!

This week, the children have been learning about Sikhism and created information texts about what they have learnt. 

They have worked so hard in presenting their work, some of which has been displayed on our WOW work board outside the classroom.

Science 

This week the children conducted an experiment with varying amounts of salt in cold water. They then added a nail. The experiment is still ongoing, as the children are observing the changes to the nail over time.

Arts Award Club 

Modern Japanese Art - Anime and Manga

This week had the group so excited to learn how to draw Manga and Anime. Each group member had their own sketchbook, pencil and gel pen, instructions and plenty of books that would help them.

The children were totally engrossed in their work, when it was time to go home, they were refusing to pack their work away and get ready to leave.

The work that the children produced has been amazing. Not only have they brought their sketchbooks in everyday since the club, but they have getting most of the class involved. Some of them even want to start an Anime Drawing Club.
