Our Star of the week is Finn

English

This week the children have carried on with the text, The Lion, The Witch and the wardrobe. The children had a treat when Mr Hudson bought in Turkish Delight to try. Not many children had tried it before and said categorically that they will not try it again. The children have been scanning the text, highlighting keywords and using them in their own writing.

Maths

The children have been using the multiplication methods to calculate answers. They have used x10, x100 and x1000 multiples. Well done to everyone for sticking with it and trying your best.

PE

Year 5 are completing the gymnastics unit at the moment, they all really tried hard and made Mrs Wilton and Mrs Hudson proud of the way everyone gave it their best shot.

Art

Installation Art, Mrs Hudson took the lesson outside. The children had to produce a small scale installation art in a box that would represent a room. The children had access to different mediums, including spices, powder paint, chalk and spray paint. They were also advised to use the environment and pick up natural objects that would help them.
