RE

We are learning about Harvest in RE this half term. Last week we looked at Sukkot, the Jewish festival associated with Harvest. This week we made own Sukkahs (temporary structures set up for the purpose of eating in) using Lego and natural resources we found outside. The children loved being creative!

PE

This week in PE we loved learning some French skipping! We learnt some different jumping patterns and then created our own!

Computing

This week in computing we continued to explore new tools on Purple Mash. We used 2count to create a pictogram of the class' favourite colours. We collected the favourite colour of each person in the class:

Then we use this information to create our pictograms.

We then recorded and played back our own music using 2Explore.

We are really impressing Miss Bryan each week as we learn how to navigate Purple Mash!

Reading Scrapbook

Noah and Syd enjoyed taking the Reading Scrapbook home this week.

Noah read 'The Baddies' by Julia Donaldson and enjoyed telling us all about it. He brought it in on Wednesday and Miss Wilson read it to us during our 'Stop & Read'.

Syd read 'Winnie in Space'. The story sounded very exciting, especially because we love Winnie the Witch in Year 1!
