This week, we continued our History learning about The Great Fire of London.
We have been learning about how they managed to stop the fire from spreading further.
- the wind calmed down
- they pulled some houses down so they weren't too close together
- they worked together (collaborated) using buckets of water. They passed the water along lines to each other and threw the water at the fire.
The fire spread for three long days.
We hunted for sticks around our outdoor area to make a big fire.
This week we have learnt two new sounds in phonics.
'ck' as in duck is the first digraph we have learnt.
A digraph is two letters that make one sound.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
