Geography

This week we have been learning about estuaries and we tried to identify some wading birds which are often found in estuaries using the RSPB website.

Computing

Year 5 have been learning about concept maps, then they created their own about why they should care for the environment.

Virtual visit from author Beth Lincoln

This week we had a virtual visit from Beth Lincoln who is the author of The Swifts. The children were in for a treat as Beth did a vocabulary quiz with them and then gave some top tips on how to create mystery writing before talking about how she created the book. She also said that a second and third book will be coming soon! The session ended with the children having chance to take part in a Q&A session with her.

Mrs Tindall then came into class with a treat, when the SOLs group went into Waterstones earlier in the week, she had bought the book! She has gifted this to our class and the children are very excited to read it.

P.E.

In PE this week, the class have been continuing with the dance. Each group were choreographing their moves and then presenting to the class. The children did fantastically again and really embraced their work.
