Week 7

Week 7

We did it! Our first half term together is done!

We have been busy little bees in Year 3 right up until the end of the half term, enjoying another busy week at school.

We have continued our reading phase on biographies in English, exploring existing biographies, making text maps and learning about time connectives and subordinating conjunctions.

We have built upon our addition and subtraction skills even more in maths, using small steps to increase our understanding slowly and securely. We use lots of practical equipment to do this.

This week we welcomed many of you into school to watch our incredible class assembly! I was SO proud of all the children. Each and every one of them spoke loudly and with confidence and together they delivered a fantastic performance. The children really enjoyed showcasing their learning about Harvest. Well done!

In PE, the children did some competitive games and matches in their planet teams. They competed to win points for their planet and these will be combined with the points from the other classes too. Results will be announced after the half term holidays!

On Friday, we watched a live reading online of Room on the Broom, which the children really enjoyed.

Have a wonderful and well deserved rest everybody! Thank you for such a delightful first half term together.
