Week 1

Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break. 

We are all refreshed and raring to go with our new learning in 2024!

Here are some things we have done this week:

• Refreshed our knowledge of fractions, including denominators and numerators. 
• Learned what a unit fraction and a non unit fraction is.
• Started to read our new English text - The Secret Seven.
• Started to read our guided reading text - Anisha the Accidental Detective (lots of reading this week!
• Explored the British Value: Democracy in worship.
• Learned to sing in time with each other in music.
• Looked at PH scales in science.
• Discussed different types of families in PSHE - your child might want to discuss this more at home. 
• Learned some skills linked to golf and gymnastics. 

You can continue your child's learning at home by asking them about these things, reading with them or practising their times tables. 

Homework booklets will be coming home on Monday 15th.
