Week 3 (Monday 22nd January - Friday 26th January)

Stop and Read

This week we read Roald Dahl's 'The Enormous Crocodile' during our Stop and Read sessions. We LOVED it! The children hung on to every word of the story and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen on the next page.

There was lots of gasps and laughter and huge sighs when Miss Bryan closed the book for lunchtime!

We are going to do book reviews on the story next week where we think about our favourite character in the story and the part we liked the best.

Maths

This week in our maths lessons we have been learning about mass and capacity.

We have been exploring the weighing scales and finding a balance.

PE

This week we learnt and performed a travelling to school dance with Miss Ahmed.

The children stood in a big circle and then travelled around the circle using different movements and in different directions to counts of 8.

They then learnt a dance to counts of 8 using lots of different movements and actions on their journey from bed to school!
