Literacy
This week in Drawing Club, we have been reading 'The Hairy Toe'.
During our Drawing Club sessions, we learn new vocabulary, make predictions, understand the story and show off our wonderful mark making skills.
This week we have been drawing a monster who lost his hairy toe and the old woman's house.
The children have loved this story and loved joining in with the story, making their voices scary!

WINDY
FURRY

PE - Our Senses
This week, we thought about our senses as we played games in the hall.
Listening Games
Freeze/Unfreeze.
We had to listen carefully to Miss Bryan shouting the commands 'Freeze' or 'unfreeze'.
If we heard freeze, we had to stop as quickly as we can. Then get ready to go as soon as we heard freeze.
The winner was the first to get to the other side of the hall. If Miss Bryan saw us moving, we had to go back to the starting line again.
Fruit Salad
We were all given a cone - red (strawberries), green (pears), yellow (bananas).
When Miss Bryan shouted one of the fruits, the children with that matching coloured cone had to run to the other side of the hall without being caught by the catchers!
We have been practising our writing skills in Reception class using our formation rhymes. The children have really been enjoying this and get excited whenever we learn a new sound.
