This week we started our unit on Pictograms. We were learning that data can be represented in pictures.

We created a whole class concept map on the different types of transport that we could think of.

Then we created a class pictogram on the ways that we get to school.

We talked about the advantages of a pictogram and how it helps us to see the date we have collected.

We thought of a title for our pictogram 'How we get to school'.

It was clear to see that car was the most popular way of getting to school as we had to stick the pictures over the top of our timetable, months of the year and phonics sounds!

This week we started our unit on Invasion Games. We discussed the role of a defender and enjoyed being 'attackers' and 'defenders'. Attackers could move with the ball anyway they liked and had to try and get away from the defenders. Defenders tapped the attackers on their shoulders when they could. We then swapped over roles.

We also practised dribbling a football with different parts of our feet:

* inside * outside * sole *laces

We showed great control of the football and were excellent when stopping the football with a foot on top when Miss Bryan shouted 'STOP'.
