Week 5
The children thoroughly enjoyed 'No pens day' this week. We took part in a whole school show and tell and the children had fun explaining their chosen items to their Kagan groups and the rest of the class. They were articulate and answered questions posed by their peers.
Team working and communication skills were practised outside as the children had to solve a number of challenges. They realised the importance of keeping calm and how communicating effectivly with their team enabled them to win!
In PSHE we discussed the importance of friendship and the 'receipe for a good friendship'. Children created an advertisement for 'what makes a good friend' and presented it to the class in their groups. It was good fun and the children enjoyed using their imaginations to deliver raps, interviews and songs! Well done Year 6 - what a lovely day!
