Week 5

The last week of term has been a fun and busy one!

The children have completed their piece of group artwork and I'm sure you'll agree they look fabulous!  The children have developed many skills over the last few weeks, such as collaging, water colour painting, blending oil pastels whilst taking inspiration from Lichtenstein's comic artwork.

In English they have published their History Maker booklets.  They have been focussing on the different features, organising their work and using high level vocabulary linked to their history topic.  Mrs Tindall and Mrs Bibby were also blown away by their writing and effort when they popped into the year 2 classroom this week.

During Children's Mental Health week we have discussed the benefits of giving and receiving compliments, enjoyed listening to classical music whilst mindfulness colouring and taken part in yoga.

Internet Safety Day on Tuesday saw the children design their own internet safety posters as they remember how to stay safe online.

Creative worship was fun with Miss Scholfield and they got to work with year 5 during a game of 'Find me Bingo'. What a lovely week!
