What a lovely start to the new school year!
The children have come into class with big smiles on their faces this week and it's been lovely being their teacher again!
We have hit the ground running in Year 6 this week and have started with a very positive, enthusiastic attitude to learning.
We did not let the weather dampen our geography outdoor learning session this week, where the children enjoyed learning new vocabulary linked to our geography unit 'Who are Britain's National Parks for?'
Our first computing lesson focused on recapping the importance of on-line safety through game design. The children had fun designing their own computer games and got a chance to play their friends games too!
We have started our football unit in PE and practised our dribbling skills, finishing off with a 3v3 game outside.
Our PSHE lesson focused on developing teamworking skills and the children were given the task of building a bridge!
In art the children created some fantastic photomontage cityscapes and reflected on the work of the artist, Hannah Hoch.
It's been a lovely week, we've had fun, worked hard and learned lots!
