Week 2

Another week has come and gone in Year 2.

We have been busy this week with our learning.

This week we have been learning about 

Science - We have continued our learning about the human life cycle. Year 2 have been  displaying their knowledge of the skills learnt and developed by each age group.

Maths - Maths this week has been all about partitioning numbers. Th children have loved the challenges set for them to complete.

English - Year 2 have been continuing with the story of The Jolly Postman. They have worked together to produce a story picture board, to help jog their memory when they retell the story.

PE - Year 2 have had a great time this week with 3 PE lessons. We have carried on our learning with the basics of PE. They have been showing their ball skills. With a bonus PE lesson, learning how to play a group game of dodgeball with Year 3.

Art - this week, Year 2 were shown how to produce a 3d map of their own design. The children have had great fun, using different textures, to show different aspects.
