Week 3 (Monday 18th September - Friday 22nd September)

Maths - Matching Objects

This week in maths, we have been focusing on matching objects. On Monday Miss Bryan set the children a challenge. They had to take an object out of the feely bag and see if they could match it to one of the objects on the carpet. They were amazing at this.

We used the stem sentence - The ________ matches the ________. they are the same.

RE

God made each one of us the same but different. We are unique!

We listened to the story 'When God Made You' by Matthew Paul Turner.

After the story, we passed around a box, inside the box was something amazing and UNIQUE that God has made. it was me!

Creative Worship

On Thursday we went into the hall to see reverend Rebecca for Creative Worship.
We helped the rest of the school to create a beautiful picture to go on the wall in school.
We each added a shiny red square to our school vision which is 'Building One Faith, One family, Our Future'.

And then we could choose something sparkly or furry to add to the picture. After that, we talked about how our fingerprints are Unique and we each added our fingerprint around the edge of the picture to make a special St James' picture.

The children listened really well, Miss Bryan was so proud 🥰
