Week 2

Week 2

(scroll down for pictures)

Another busy week for Year 3 this week!

In English we have continued reading and responding to The Stone Age Boy story. We have built on our dictionary skills, written diary entries and found evidence to support points within the text.

In maths we have extended our knowledge of place value to include 3 digit numbers. We have use lots of practical equipment to support our thinking and we have been using partitioning and flexible partitioning.

We have started to think about what we know about the Harvest Festival in RE and where it is mentioned in the bible.

Year 3 became geologists in science when they came up with their own ways to group rocks. We took our learning outside and used chalk and hoops to make the groups. This was greatly enjoyed by all!

Have a lovely weekend!
