Year 5 & 6 Girls Football – League Kick-Off!

What a fantastic start to the season for our Year 5 and 6 Girls football team!

Their first league matches kicked off this week and they came out fighting:

St James LD vs St Cuthbert’s: 1–1 draw (goal from Mila)

St James LD vs Avondale: 2–1 win (goals from Mila and Lily-Mai — with some brilliant passes, especially Eska's cross!)

St James LD vs Ashleigh: awarded 3 points as Ashleigh couldn’t make the fixture

That puts our girls joint 2nd on the league table after week one — an amazing start!

A huge thank you to our incredible supporters who turned out in force

What a brilliant night. The girls well and truly blew Miss Whaley, Miss Bryan and Mrs Malik away! We can't wait for next week!

Well done girls — you’ve set the tone for a brilliant season ahead!
