Week 3

Week 3

This week we have had a super busy week... it has been 'Careers Week' across school. We have absolutely loved having over 25 visitors in our school to talk about their careers. We especially loved asking them questions and finding out more about their jobs.

Star of the Week

This week our star of the week is Mason. He has been an absolute superstar this week. Mason has shown real kindness, compassion and he has been extremely helpful. Miss Whaley is very grateful! Well done Mason, keep being amazing!

Careers Week

We enjoyed visits from Mollie (fitness instructor), Becca (counsellor), Colin (drummer), Mark (Policeman), Carrie-Ann (cook), Dan (chef), Sue (firefighter), Jeff (postman), Rachael (deputy headteacher) & Kate (sports co-ordinator).

Geography

This week we have been using atlases, specifically using the world map page and climate page, to identify the climate in a range of countries. Some of the countries we looked at were Papa New Guinea, Iceland, India and Cuba. Some of the climates that we explored were dry, tropical, temperate, warm and wet and polar.

PE

This week we have been advancing our golf skills and we learnt how to 'put'. We had to aim for the cones and eventually the bucket to earn a team point. Miss Whaley and Miss Mack were very impressed with our technique.
