The final week of the half term was a busy one. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning the classic poem 'The Owl and the Pussycat' by heart and then performing it to the children in Year 1. They spoke with clear voices and used intonation, rhythm and rhyme to make the poem sound interesting. They also used Makaton signs to support their performance. Well done Year 2, what a beautiful, confident performance. We also had a honey tasting session to round off the topic and to celebrate World Bee Day on Monday 20th May 2024!
In PSHE the children learned about basic first aid skills and enjoyed using role play with their partner to practise the skills. The learned how to respond to the following, asthma attack, bleeding and a burn.
The children have worked hard this term. Enjoy your break!
