This week in science we investigated the enquiry question 'Which material would make a good umbrella?'
The children enjoyed designing their own experiment, making predictions, thinking about how we can make a fair test, what things needed to be different and how we can record our results. They used lots of working scientifically skills and used lots of our topical vocabulary! It was wet but fun!
In English the children have enjoyed planning and writing their own non-chronological reports on their significant historical person. They are excited to be presenting this in our class worship next Thursday.
We have enjoyed taking part in some yoga activities and continued with our ball skills unit in PE.
The children were extremely proud of their finished superhero art work on Friday and quiet rightly so! They have used paint, pastels, pens and different texturing techniques during the mixed media unit, all whilst testing their teamworking skills! I'm sure you'll agree the end pieces of artwork are amazing! Well done, we definitely have some budding artists in Year 2!
