Art
The Maya believe everyone is born with a spirit companion. There are 20 ‘Wayob’ symbols and they are the 20 day signs used on the Mayan calendar. Your ‘way’ is based on when you are born and is said to guide you through life. Each symbol has certain characteristics that describe your personality traits and explains what job you would be good at! We choose the symbol which we thought best represented us. We then created a picture filled with patterns, images and colours that represent us.
Oracy Day
Times table games!
We did some reading with our buddies in reception.
We did some team building games outside which were lots of fun!
PSHE
In PSHE we talked about some of the things we need as humans and why we need them.
Music
We performed 'The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra' using both body percussion and our voices.
