Week 3
Welcome to week 3!
Week 3 produced some fabulous authors and illustrators as the children wrote their own stories based on the Man on the Moon. They used commas, apostrophes and some excellent adjectives.
In maths we have continued with multiplication and the children have been introduced to the multiplication sign. We had lots of opportunities to make equal groups and the children started writing their own multiplication calculations using arrays.
In history we have learned about our last 3 significant history makers and will shortly start practising for our class assembly!
In PE with Mrs Malik the children explored the 'Secret Garden' dance moves and created a mirror or match dance with their partner to beats of 8. Mr T enjoyed teaching year 2 on Thursday afternoon and the children impressed him with their ball skills.
In art the children have started a mixed media team project linked to superheroes! There are lots of skills involved and we can't wait to show you the end product this week!
