Week 4

The Oracy Group organised a fabulous 'Operation Oracy Day' on Wednesday and we had lots of fun practising our oracy skills all day!.  We took part in some team building activities outside, role played dialogue to a short film called 'A Cloudy Lesson' and had lots of fun making our own cloud blowers! We thoroughly enjoyed reading to the reception children at the end of the day too!

In science we have been learning about the different ways we can change the shape of an object - bending, squashing, twisting and stretching and worked with our Kagan group to make predictions and test them out.

In maths we have been making equal groups by grouping and sorting and using this knowledge to divide by 2.  Lots of practical activities allowed us to consolidate our learning too.

In art we have added colour washing to our Superhero art work in the style of Roy Lichtenstein's pop art work.  We can't wait to finish our art work next week!
