Week 1

What a lovely couple of days!

The children have settled in well and we've enjoyed getting to know each other.  They have created a set of class rules, worked with their new Kagan partners and talked about what an ideal classroom looks like!

We have enjoyed looking for repeating patterns during our outdoor learning session on Friday and then we used paint to create our own repeating patterns as part of our art unit (formal elements of art).  The children produced some lovely detailed patterns. Well done.

The children have written their own Pupil Voice Coordinator manifestos in English this week which they will present to the class next week.  The children will then take part in a secret vote to elect members of the Pupil Voice Groups. (a bit like school councils run). These children will represent school in their chosen group along with children in Years 3-6. Our groups are: Courageous Advocates, Worship Warriors and the Oracy Group. Good luck to everyone who is presenting their manifestos next week! It's very exciting!
