Week 5
What an EGGCITING week!
The children have been very excited this week as they watched the first chick hatch from its’ egg on Wednesday morning! It was a lovely experience and the eggs continued hatching throughout the rest of Wednesday and Thursday. We now have 9 fluffy chicks in class and all of them are doing very well! We have named them all and look forward to looking after them next week.
We paid a visit to the Year 1 classroom this week and shared our Jolly Postman stories with them. The children read their stories very confidently and clearly and Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed themselves too!
We have been learning about number bonds and fact families in maths and enjoyed taking our learning outside on Friday morning.
We started our animal unit in music called 'West African call aniamls' and the children used percussion instruments to create short sequences of sound to represent an elephant.
Well done to Lily - our SKAT winner this week!
