Week Six

DT- Cooking
 

We explored how the climate determines what can be grown in different countries. Then we made fruit skewers with plum sauce. We soaked the skewers first, cut the fruit into smaller pieces and then threaded our chosen fruit onto our skewer. We then spread plum sauce over our skewers and grilled them. They were delicious!

Chicks came to visit Year 3

We had a lovely surprise visit from the chicks that hatched in Year 2 this week. The children thoroughly enjoyed being able to cuddle and pet the chicks. 

Guided Reading

This half term we are reading Roald Dahl's Georges Marvellous Medicine. Here we are colouring in what we think George's medicine would look like and writing onomatopoeia from the story around to pan to describe the medicine.

English - Ordering and Biographies

This week we have been learning all about biographies.

We have read biographies about David Walliams, David Attenborough, Usain Bolt and Anne Frank. Here are some pictures of us ordering a timeline about Usain Bolt. 

What amazed the teachers more, was after reading about David Walliams, the children brought in various books for our class library. Big thanks to everyone at home.
