Week 2
What a lovely full week!
We have enjoyed reading our English text 'The Jolly Postman' this week and the children made some fabulous predictions. We had a debate about forgiving Goldilocks and the children used their developing oracy skills to discuss reasons for their decisions. We 'attended' Goldilock's party and created thank you cards!
In science we have started our new topic 'Animals including humans' and the children enjoyed learning about animals and their offspring.
We had a special treat on Wednesday and the whole school enjoyed a fabulous production of the Secret Garden. Both children and adults thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
In RE we discussed and shared our favourite books in preparation for our new RE unit 'The Bible'. The children spoke excitedly about why they enjoyed their books and why they were special to them.
In maths we continue to learn about place value and are becoming confident in using practical resources to support our learning.
In our PE lessons we have been practising our balancing skills whilst jumping and hopping and on Thursday we have focussed on our ball skills.
Such good fun!
