In PE this week, we have been developing our ball skills. The theme of Monday's lesson was 'A Windy Day' and weather was just that!!
To warm up we used scarfs and imagined they were kites blowing in the wind. We used different movements and speeds with our kites.
After that we worked on rolling and tracking a ball on our own and with a partner.
This week in Worship, we have been thinking about special places. Jerusalem is a special place for Christians and other religious groups. On Wednesday, we split up into our minibeast groups and we each looked at 5 different pictures of places we know. We talked about what was special about the different places.
Afterwards some of the children shared their most special place with us and told us why.
On Friday we had a whole school STEM day. Reception class watched an episode of 'Bitz and Bobz' and discovered a way of firing rockets into space.
We made our very own stomp rockets using a plastic bottle, a piece of hosepipe and a paper rocket that we made.
We took our rockets into the hall and explained how we made them to our buddys.
