Handwriting Certificate was awarded to Haryshwa this week.

Our Learning this week

Even though we missed out on our learning on Monday, we have had a really busy week.

In English, the children have been gathering information for our independent write. They have drawn their main setting and character. They were then asked to write noun phrases and adjectives that will help them to write their final piece of work

In history, the children had great fun learning about the longships of the Vikings. Mrs Pearson played an old piece of film from 1958, with Kirk Douglas as a viking, it was very interesting.

Coronation Day (Friday)

The children had a fun packed day, they still had their ukulele lesson.

In the morning with Mrs Wilton the children went on a virtual tour of London, Starting with a virtual train ride from Manchester to London Euston Station.

When we arrived in London, the children then virtually travelled on the underground to get around London.

There was a virtual tour of the National History Museum, then onto Trafalgar Square seeing the monuments and art forms on the fourth column. They checked out Nelsons Column.

A walking tour of the River Thames, Houses of Parliament, and Big Ben.

Finishing of the day with a quick tour of the Tower of London, learning all the grisly historical facts.

Then came our wonderful coronation picnic, with all our parents invited. Thank you for all who came.

After lunch, Mrs Hudson gave the class a challenge to design their own pop art version of a King Charles portrait. (Pictures to be taken when they are all finished and mounted)

To finish of our special coronation day, Mrs Hudson baked all of Year 4 coronation cupcakes.

What a great week, even if a little busy everybody had a fantastic time.
