We thoroughly enjoyed World Book Day this week and loved exploring the story of Little Red Riding Hood in our drama session. We created our own class book review of the Day the Crayon Quit and enjoyed sharing our favourite books with our friends.
Mr T has launched a character competition as part of WBD so if the children would like to create a character based on what he was wearing please can they bring their entries into school next week.
In science we designed an investigation to help us answer the question...... 'What do plants need to grow?' We will be observing our planted seeds over the next few weeks to see which conditions allow our plants to grow.
As part of our gathering content phase in English we created our own farm settings out of Lego. These will help us write our farm stories next week as they helped us generate lots of vocabulary and super noun phrases.
As part of our fitness unit in PE we have been learning to skip. We had lots of fun jumping rope with our friends and improving our skills.
Our new DT topic is 'Mechanisms' and we are looking forward to designing and creating our own mechanical monster over the next few weeks.
