What a fabulous week! The children have been amazing in class this week and have produced some fabulous traditional tales with a twist!
We have started our shape unit in Maths and we are exploring 2d and 3d shapes. We have been counting sides and vertices and have been finding lines of symmetry.
In PE we enjoyed using our new balancing skills on the large PE equipment. We explored different ways of using the equipment and found ways to go under, over, through and along. We then used the equipment to hold our balances for a count of 5.
Our enquiry question in science is 'Does eating bananas make us run faster?' We thoroughly enjoyed working with our shoulder partner to investigate the question.
Our new RE topic is called Why is the birth of Jesus such good news? where we hear stories about angels. We started off our topic reading and listening to stories in the news. Then the children explored how it felt to receive good news when Postman Peter came with some letters. (Thank you parents - your letters were lovely and the children were delighted to receive them)
