Week 4

Recycling Heroes

This week, we have been lucky enough to have a visit from Sally Booth, who works for Blackburn with Darwen council, to learn about Recycling Heroes. We discussed lots of facts around Reducing, Recycling and Reusing our waste before playing a game where we had to decide which was the correct bin in which to place a particular piece of rubbish. We were then given activity packs to bring home. We had a lovely afternoon and really enjoyed our learning! 

Operation Oracy

On Wednesday, we spent the whole day completing activities that did not require us to use a pen. This required us to do lots of talking, so developing our oracy skills. Working together in our pairs and groups also required us to use our listening and collaboration skills. Here are just a few photographs of the day.
