Week 2

English

In our English lessons, we have been studying the book Beowulf. This is a modern adaptation, by Michael Morpurgo, of an epic Anglo-Saxon poem. We have been working together to gather ideas about the monster, Grendel, in order to write our own character description.

Maths

During our Outdoor Learning session this week, we looked at representing 6-digit numbers in different ways. We made place value charts, used different natural materials to represent different digits in our number, drew part-whole models and thought about how we could draw a number line to show our number.
