World Book Day

We have had such a great day celebrating World Book Day in school today. The day was organised by the oracy pupil voice group and the theme of the day was no rules poetry. Children enjoyed writing their own poems and each class learnt a poem which was performed in an assembly, led by the oracy group at the end of the day. Everyone dressed up as a 'wow word' and it was great to see a real buzz around vocabulary. Each class met in the hall with a different class to share their favourite books and it was lovely to see lots of talking. Well done to our fabulous oracy group for such a memorable day in school.
