On Tuesday 28th February we went to Smithills Open Farm in Bolton for St James' very first buddy trip.
The Reception and Year 6 children had an amazing day and as ever behaved impeccably. The day was jam packed full of fun and adventure. The year 6 children were great with their buddy's and looked after them so well all day.
We split into groups for the tractor rides, donkey rides and animal petting.
On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day in school. The children looked amazing in their costumes and brought their favourite books to school.
In the morning, we went into the hall for a Workshop with an actor. He told us the story of Little Red Riding Hood and we helped him by joining in with actions. We moved around the hall thinking about different characters. When we heard 'Big Bad Wolf', we had to freeze!
This week we have done two gymnastic lessons in the hall.
We always take our shoes and socks off first.
On Monday, we focused on creating shapes whilst on apparatus.
On Wednesday, we developed our balancing and taking weight on different body parts.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
