What a fantastic start to our new term, and what a busy week we have had.
We have had Shrove Tuesday worship. Mr T and Mrs Tindall in a pancake competition, of who can toss the pancake the highest. Mrs Tindall won by the children's voting.
Some children were then invited to the front to taste the pancakes that Mrs Tindall had been making all through the worship.
On Wednesday we all went over to church for the Ash Wednesday service, Ash Wednesday marks the first day of Lent. Our Children and staff were invited to have an ash cross on their forehead. The ashes are in a cross shape, to represent the crucifixion of Christ. "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return."
Mr T then led a feelings morning, where the children watch the film "Inside Out", they then went back into class and made posters to represent the feelings that they felt.
It was a great morning and the children really enjoyed it.
Thursday, saw the first school disco's organised by the PTFA. The Year 4 children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were beautifully behaved throughout. In a competition to find the best dancing class. Year 4 won. Jacob also won the best dancer in the class.

In Science this week we have been learning about Habitats, the children were in groups and made their own keyword books to help them through this topic. They all worked very hard and were all great team players. Our books are hanging around the class to be used whenever needed.
In P.E. this week we were learning all about netball and the skills needed. Mrs Pearson has taught us how when we catch the ball we need to keep our feet still, we can pivot and turn ourselves by keeping our landing foot still, but moving our other foot to spin around and find our team members to throw the ball to. We also learnt about chest passes and catching whilst in motion. We had a great time as you can see.
On Friday morning Mrs Wilton began teaching us all about coding in Computing. We have had great fun.
