We have been comparing our homes and the things we have today with what Jesus had all those years ago in Bethlehem.
We recreated the town of Bethlehem, look at the houses we made which do you think Jesus would have liked to live in?
Spirituality Day
On Monday afternoon we went over to church to join in some activities with Rev. Alice; Rev Rebecca and Sharon as part of the Christmas Spirituality day.
Sharon's activity explained that Jesus is known by some different names, like Messiah and Immanuel, just like we sometimes have different names or nicknames.
Rev. Rebecca gave us a Nativity sequencing activity, we had to find the next picture in the sequence as she told us the story of Jesus' birth. Did you know his mum rode on a donkey to Bethlehem to have baby Jesus? Did you also know she had to ride the donkey away again, to go somewhere safe far away from King Herod carrying baby Jesus?
Rev. Alice let us make a heart decoration to put on the great big tree in church. We had to decorate our heart ornaments with something we would keep in our hearts from what we had learnt from Sharon; Rev. Rebecca or Rev. Alice.
