Happy 50th Birthday St. James'!
Wow! What an amazing day we had on Friday celebrating 50 years since our school building was re-opened. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us!
The weather was kind to us and stayed dry for our picnic - thank you to all the grown ups who came to join us for an al fresco lunch! We loved having you all!
In the hall, it was a trip down memory lane! We welcomed our families (past and present!), colleagues and community to view photographs and memorabilia from the school's history, including a 'Punishment Book' from 1901! The children loved seeing all the old photographs, diaries and scrapbooks and learning more about our school's history.
Our wonderful Year 6 children did a fantastic job giving tours of school to our visitors. They were confident, articulate, welcoming and polite. We are so proud of them!
Finally, a huge well done and thank you to Mrs Jacques, who organised the day!
